people of esfores how do I rewire my brain against at least 15 years of gaming
>>12947231i dont undestand ?
Past a certain age, gaming just feels like a waste of time, all those fake ass achievements on game software literally designed to let you win if you spend enough time or money, none of it makes you a more interesting person and you certainly haven't made anything to be proud about.I'm not saying one should strive to be "productive" but it becomes soul crushing to only consume entertainment all the time and never create anything of value for yourself.
>>12947309I also forgot, newer games aren't even designed to end, they all want to become your second job, new games are fucking exhausting.
>>12947231Play classic arcade/retro games instead

>>12947309absolutely this lolehappened to me in mid 30sthough I don't particularly agree with 'games are designed to let you win' at least not all of them are, I've been playing roguelikes for 20 years and haven't beat a single one of them lole it's still fun to run characters every so often but now I lose interest after a run or two and will want to go do something creative/productive vs. when I was younger I could spend 20 hrs straight running the same character over and over and dying at level 28 every damn timeYour fortune: Average Luck
Not Skyrim lole there were methods to get like daedric armor hella quick and 99 skills hella fast not even by hacking lmao ud just farm the crabs or smth I forgot but it was on YouTube like 10 yrs ago and it worked
>>12947309I think certain games can be a good hobby and/or way to socialize. I like collecting, trading, and battling Pokemon
