I don't think this is accurate. The old testament derives from the sacred oral tradition of the jews in particular. It of course has its origins in the broader semitic culture, and Yahweh himself originates from an older semitic pantheon that also included other gods like Baal and El, but the jews had a lot of beliefs and practices that were unique to them and the old testament specifically records THOSE practices and beliefs and not others, and is clearly from the perspective of the jews, even making apologetics for the genocides of other semitic people groups in the region like the amalekites. It is unambiguously a jewish text, at least insofar as the word "jew" is referring to that particular people group that inhabited Judea from the bronze age up until the exile.
