There is STILL a philosophical divide on the locality of information and the interpretation of experimental results on memory and cognition. The major void in knowledge is the synaptic cascade and how it "accesses" memory. The other major issue is standard model is shit and there are quantum effects in the brain that still aren't fully understood.
