Was watching Veritasium on YouTube and couldn't help but notice a lot of contributors to physics were European aristocrats. Why is aristocracy as a societal model so superior bros? I wish I was an aristocrat.

Everyone is aware of the "publish or die" phenomenon, of course. People no longer fuck around because they want to find out, they pursue what is the most likely to feed them and their families. That's not to mention all the red tape associated with academia - any research that could lead to uncomfortable truth that goes against the zeitgeist is just not going to be touched, period. Just look at what happened to James Watson when he dared to even suggest that difference in IQ scores between races may be genetic.
