Let's for simplicity assume that average IQ is 100. Can you derive from an IQ of 150 that the individual has the brain power of one and a half people? Or is this correlation a function as in the brain power is only akin to one and one fourth normal people for example? Or maybe even 2?
Let this thread end here.
>>16778265The mere mention of IQ comparison seemed to have caused an association of boasting in you, making your reaction immediately hostile even though there was no social or humane value attributed to high/low IQ in the original post.

>>16778239You seem to assume the 'points' of IQ stand for some physical measure of brainpower. Rather, it is a statistical tool that is useful due to having Gaussian distribution properties. It is an artificial metric in that 100 was chosen as the mean and its standard distribution is about 12 or 15 (depending on the test). If you want to derive some sort of comparative brainpower metric, you'll either have to draw from something else or you'll end up with some very shaky line in the sand.
>>16778239iq comes from specific brain algorithms that only some people have.
>>16778291Measure of intelligence seems to be a very sensitive topic to you personally. You should try taking manners just as seriously.
>>16778239friend, just stop it. first of all, your post suggests that you might be on the 0.75 humans side - not the 1.5 humans side.Secondly, what the fuck is brain power and what the fuck do you think IQ measures? There are better ways to indulge in yourself than abusing the "I can memorize 13 numbers and can cognitively rotate objects fast enough"-number for it.Being highly intelligent while socially at the bottom of society is a curse anyway, it'll just either turn you into Ted or make you kys
>>16778239"Brain power" is not a quantity that sums over groups of people, nor is it a well-defined quantity at all. You could try to compare required man-hours to complete a task. Someone with an IQ of 150 might perform a task more quickly than two people of 100 IQ. But there is no formula for converting IQ to a reduction of man-hours for a particular task, because this effect varies with the task, the individual's intelligence profile, and other factors.
