Hello internet scientists! I need some assistance for a chemistry paper that I'm working on. I've seen this one scene in Breaking Bad where walter white made Cyanide from seeds and I would really appreciate a step-by-step approach/tutorial with the list of equipment needed to make different doses of cyanide.This is purely for theoretical/scientific reasons.Thanks!

>>16784782It doesnt work, you can make cyanide with common household chemicals. Semi common.You will need potassium hydroxide, charcoal and cyanuric acid, sold as pool chlorine stabilizer. Thats a fancy chemical, another option is urea which is easy to get as a diesel additive (Adblue). The traditional source was blood.Ground and mix and heat everthing in a pot until it stops bubbling and use an excess of potassium hydroxide.The end result will be a solid rock with plenty of cyanide. Ground it and dissolve in pure methanol for extraction. You can make kilos like this.

Eating 15mg/kg is more likely than not lethal (and certain to give you permanent health issues).
