Am I developing schizophrenia or is this caffeine induced psychosis?I quit smoking cigarettes for a month and I had a habit of replacing them with high caffeine consumption.I'd wake up and have a cup with 3-4 teaspoons of instant coffee followed by 3-4 energy drinks.I woke up one day and started getting paranoid, then came the delusions and then hallucinations which spiraled into a break from reality.The break lasted a day but I'd have some weird residual symptoms like changes in perception, movements in the corner of my eyes and tactile hallucinations for about 2 weeks.I'm symptom free for a month now and doing better. But I can't help but feel this is schizophrenia since I don't think that much caffeine is enough to induce psychosis.
