When did education go to shit?I believe it went to the dogs when it became all about presenting powerpoin presentations.
>>16789869Nah. Teacher don't even make slides these days and wonder why kids aren't interested in their bullshit
>>16789869When teachers could no longer effectively discipline their students.
here's an example of an engaging presentation, one of the few times I'd recommend watching a TedX Talkhttps://youtu.be/8S0FDjFBj8o?t=16My top quick advice is:* Keep it visually minimalist. Don't clutter your slides with too much information (text/images)There are exceptions to this; I've watched excellent DEF CON talks with slides that were very dense with paragraphs of relevant text
>>16789869waiting around for gramps to write things on a chalk board is a waste of time for everyone involved
>>16790070>I'd recommend watching a TedX TalkKeep in mind this is a really exaggerated version of the mannerisms and way of speaking that you'd use when giving an informative classroom presentationThe example in the video is a performance, really. But it illustrates some good presentation skillsalso don't be too hard on yourself. Our human bodies are not comfortable being the spotlight of attention in front of a crowd, that goes for most peopleSteve Jobs once walked off mid-presentation cause of a sudden panic/anxiety attack. I doubt many people even remember that

When equality of outcomes was mandated by law.
The year after I finished my B.S., my alma mater made submission of act/sat scores optional for the admissions process. My younger sister told me that most of her classes graded attendance over test scores. To me, that's when college was fully surrendered to pink hair retards. At least my dumb ass sibling drunk drove her way to her HR degree, but still a net negative for society.
