Is this still happening on schedule after SpaceX's enormous delays and NASA budget cuts?I heard the Orion program was being cancelled due to Trump's cuts.
>>16795025they arent any onions at spacex you faggot
>>16795025i stopped giving a shit about nasa back in the 5th grade
>>16795025Trump didn't actually cut funding for Artemis. I'm pretty sure its fully funded. But there's a reason why NASA is outsourcing the landing to SpaceX. It's extremely difficult to land on the moon. There's uneven terrain everywhere, and if you fuck up the landing, you're dead on impact or stranded. It honestly seems like a joke to have Starship as your landing system. SpaceX hasn't even successfully landed a Starship yet, much less relight the engine and takeoff successfully. And they're supposed to be landing a giant fucking Starship on the moon by 2027? ha.. haha.. no.
NASA didn't even put a microscope on Perseverance. They are completely incapable of doing basic scientific research.
>>16795025Earlier today they announced Artemis II (crewed flyby, no landing) is on track to launch within 6 months. So yes it's still happening, Orion isn't canceled, it's only the base construction that was supposed to happen after Artemis III that's probably canceled... but could be restarted if it looks like there's an imminent risk of China doing it first
