Imagine a world without heavy industry. Damn. A man can dream. The main benefit of heavy industry was transportation. Could electronics have developed without such brutal industries like trains and cars?
Build a futuristic electronic city without cars and trains.
>>16796194How do you want to build the machines that produce your electronics? Power plants? Steel factories? Please tell me how do you plan to build electronics without heavy industry.
>>16796209This is how wars are started
>>16796209i think op is either retarded or ragebaiting. either way you fell for it
Without transportation you don't have food, fuel, electricity or fertilizer.Food must be grown within walking distance (~10km), is grown without fertilizer. Fish is unavailable except what's local. Meat must be local. Winters are very harsh, heating only from locally collected wood and cow shit. The only electronics you will have is a cellphone and the solar panels that can barely charge it daily.
Tasty bait. >we'll just make PCBs with copper from the...ahhh>and silicon from the vegan non-profit silicon farm >power it with E=MC2+AI
The industrial world began with metalworking. Metalworking allowed to use coal for steam power, greatly enhanced production. Now, before the industrial era there were still pampered elites that could play with scientific toys and not care about the cost, there were alchemists and shit with labs before there was heavy industry.I guess for something to count as electronics, you need to make diodes and amplifiers. Do they have to be modern, fast or would you settle for mechanical relays or vacuum tubes? To make modern circuits you need to grow silicon and dope it selectively. You need things like vaccum pumps, you need to build mechanical valves and have some sort of chemical industry with pipes. Maybe you can make all that in small scale, customized, but you need mechanics to make electronics, and also to make older electromechanical systems with relays and clickety clankers
>>16796338Yeah i know. But i'm just too narcisstic to not correct others.
