this vacuum decay stuff is all over youtube and the web. I have been hearing about it for years and finally looked into it and now I'm depressed. I even saw some threads on this board about it. all in all ignorance is best i suppose. what am i supposed to do with this shit now i know about it. its odds are tiny but who knows really right? any second not just me but the whole planet could disappear. whats the point on spreading this info except to cause anxiety?

This has nothing to do with someone "misunderstanding the math." Either the vacuum is in a metastable configuration or it isn't. And which it is is fundamentally unknowable. No serious physicist is going around saying this absolutely is or isn't a thing.
