It is not possible for a brain to know how a brain works.
>>16798845It's also not possible for you to get some bitches
>>16798845Then imagine how hard it must be for someone born without a brain, like you.
>>16798855If for no other reason, this answer was clever
>>16798855Jupiter looking a bit off today.
>>16798845For what reason?
What would a 4D being see in a brain?
>>16798926Depending on their scale of vision? Potentially all thoughts and sensations past present and future, at once. They would probably seek to mess with the continuum of such, but I would suspect the fabric of psyche would change depending where you messed with things. If I manipulated thoughts and emotions late in cognitive function, it may not be a strong effect, but if I couple it with causality of the being in conjunction with environment, then you could change many things. You could even change the nature of recursion within the recall of the mind, and even the nature of the body, and by consequence or various interactions with external factors, the factors of those individuals as well, and so on. Also direct observation of these factors would also possibly affect things but to a more subtle degree concerning the 4D entity, and matters in dimensions above it, at its plane, and below. However paradoxically this would cause many unforseen variables to emerge too. So in theory higher entities could just look at select individuals at select times to manipulate events in a more intense way than we would through traditional butterfly effects, unless there isnt heirarchy of dimensions but reciprocity. We reason it in membranes or layers but like electrons we dont know necessarily how things are positioned; what manner oriented or situated in relation to our plane and our awareness of it.
i've been meaning to compose a short story about a neurologist that finally figures out how a brain works, but the very act causes his mind to transform into a different person
>>16798935Maybe call it Observer Reflect or something
>>16798845You could use mirrors. Pretty easy set up really.
>>16798967mirrors, that may twist and turn as much as the illumination of a light upon them, as well as your eyes as the stand in consciousness. But many glances and changes in focus, and your eyes would not have the mind in account, but the mirror themselves, the mind, as too the object. And yet in presentation of another object, the original object may come into frame again, at a different random locale among the array of mirrors, moving in all directions at random paces set by additional objects and inner parameters. On and on. A simple demo would be sufficient for the most partial of representation, but the full function would be elaborate to a sense of what happens. As you get closer, the details emerge, and further you see more but less, in the same, unless you bring the object closer in frame of each, and so too the frames themselves.
Just like a computer can't know how a computer works, right OP? You are a clever, clever lad.
>>16798929Interesting to imagine what kind of instruments a 4D being would need to develop
>>16798988Yeah, mirrors can do that. Once, we made the whole Status of Liberty disappear.
>>16798845I read this as "it is not possible for a brain to know how math works", and when I saw "math" was actually "brain" I was like WHAT THE FUCK??
>>16799001>>16799011Perhaps the instruments would be the thoughts themselves that we have. Placing mirrors- to make things appear and disappear to us.
>>16798845>It is not possible for my desktop computer to contain files explaining how a computer is built and works.
>>16798906looks just ducky to me
>>16799028A very interesting thought! I think mathematics as a experience is really human experience altogether. By that I mean if there is extraterrestial intelligence then it will likely not have any mathematics. They would use something else. Animals on the other side are more similar to humans because some of them have "robust math" (arithmetic, counting for example).Understanding math will lead to understanding of the universe (this includes the brain), because we really are just tapping the baseline reality for humans, not some platonic world existing outside of us.Would we really understand how mathematics works? Would there be a full mathematical theory, including all of mathematical knowledge?
For the next month I will make one post on one /sci/ thread. To offer any intelligent anons this advice:Quit this place. Its toxic and a waste of your time. There are so few good faith discussions, its not worth the effort to find them. The vast majority of posts are made by idiots, samefags, and bots. The majority of people using this site are depressed losers who seek attention, any attention. They come here to lash out and act smart because in real life they are either ignored or bulliedThere is no Science to be discussed here that is worth the effort of digging through dozens of troll bait threads and hundreds of derailment posts. You can find real Science discussionin far better places.Do not waste your time here like I did for over a year. Its addictive for some, it becomes a habit for others, like all social media its any easy trap to fall into.>I like rage baiting retards! That is too easy, but you are wasting your time instead of being productive for your own benefit.>But occasionally you can find some good ideas! You can find them elsewhere without shoveling a ton of shit out the way to uncover them>Sometimes I just try to explain things to people who are genuinely interested. There are better places for genuine people to learn.Have you ever wondered why this board is so poorly moderated? Because it is not a science board. Its an idiot entertainment board. If you are happy with that then stay. But I am getting out, I hope you do too.
>>16799071Doesnt that just take away from what remains? Better to post and keep at it. If you contribute discussion, and it is of substance, then shouldn't you keep posting? Never quit on what you care about.
>>16799086Nta, I just come here to rage bait morons like you.
>>16799086I see the anon's point: it is time consuming and acts more like a social media, and there are a lot of trolls. What is better: reading a book or lurking, posting on /sci/? I bet the first thing. At the same time, I really like your reasoning. Maybe if people keep at it, contribute quality posts, then it would lead to be a special place. And then you will be benefiting from /sci/ because you can read about real science, real math, and find people passionate about it.
>>16799098you sound like a fag
>>16799094That's pretty moronic. Seems like you don't have a lot going on upstairs
>>16799071How are the cults on your side of this here fence, Neighbor?Gauno loco, no.
