I've met college students that are fucking mongoloids and then random nobodies who were some of the wisest people I've known. Just one of those things where you know it when you see it I guess.
IQ tests usually test ability to see patterns in data, but don't test the ability to deduce that there is no pattern. So we shouldn't be surprised that very high IQ could be associated with being a crackpot.
