Why does india have such a high death toll for unnatural deaths? Every year there are stampedes, accidents, animal related deaths, riots, etc. that kill atleast 1 million people.

Officially they have 1.5 billion people but probably have somewhere closer to 2.3 billion. With that many people, random chance alone will give you large numbers. Add in the factors >>16802735 mentioned, and you get endless crazy deaths.
