Holy based thank you anonThis is what I come to 4chan for, absolute gem
>>16805479Though, how does this differ from Haber's attempt to get gold from the Baltic?
>>16805479Though, if pulled off correctly, I can see it being a net profit in terms of energy
>>16805588This is already cheaper than mining chinks just discovered unlimited energy
>>16805647where did it say it's cheaper than mining?
>>16805479Wait. Why are they putting uranium in the water in the first place?
>>16807624Seawater naturally has trace amounts of uranium (and a bunch of other minerals for that matter) dissolved in it. While the amount of uranium per any given cubic meter of water is trivial, the oceans themselves are giant, so the total amount of uranium in them is enough to power all of human civilization for millions of years.
>>16805479>be xinnie the pooh>sell a plan to mine the ocean for uranium>global demand sucks out a meter per year of sea level>carbon based energy completely replaced>polar ice stops melting>no countervailing sea level rise>land bridge to taiwan>profit
>>16809042we could have been fully on nuclear a long time ago. We don't really need anything new. We need to have the desire to build things
>>16807624Japan did that for them after the earthquake/tsunami. China just doing the world a solid and cleaning it up.
