Honestly, she’s one of the sharper people in the Fedorenko/Kanwisher orbit — actually doing model-based cognitive neuroscience instead of vague blob chasing. The LLM–brain alignment stuff is solid: good controls, predictive modeling, no hype beyond correlation. That said, it’s still correlation — BOLD ≠ neurons — and “driving/suppressing” language is overstated since it’s stimulus selection, not stimulation. Her sentence memorability paper is neat but could use deeper cross-linguistic validation. Overall: technically rigorous, mainstream-credible, and moving the field in a good direction, but the usual fMRI caveats apply.
