What do you think about Nikola Tesla?
>>
>>16806882
cool ass dude
>>
>>16806882
you can be the smartest man in the world, for decades, doesn't matter, they'll still use you and abuse you. that's the moral of the story
>>
the narrative that he was an obscure or downplayed until recently is so unbelievably stupid
he was extremely popular in his day and the mayor of new york read his eulogy
he was a great engineer and scientist but unfortunately redditors have deified the man

>Financial Hardship
>Poverty:
>Despite his world-changing inventions, Tesla died in poverty, never truly commercializing his work or benefiting financially from it.
>Lack of Compensation:
>Many of his inventions were commercialized by others, such as Thomas Edison and Guglielmo Marconi, without adequate credit or compensation to Tesla.

but hey at least he had an hotel room in where to feed pigeons, simply epic compensation!
>>
>>16807976
he had proof of all of that though
>>
>>16808032
The pigeon really loved him, they were an item many people saw it
>>
>>16808016
call me a schizo but i'm pretty sure you just copy pasted a segment of a bullet list you asked chatgpt to make
>>
>>16806882
He pissed off Jp MOrgan and a bunch of jews; and they made damn sure he (and his inventions) never got the recognition they should have. 1913 Fed Reserve creation, 1912 Titanic sinking, and WWI all played a large part in this.
>>
>>16808055
that's literally what I just did
>>

Charlatan, mid inventor!

What happens when a smart person stumbles onto electricity, but he is actually a showman at heart?
That is how you get Nicola Tesla.

He also failed to get rich in the Gilded age, despite actually selling people viable impressive products instead of Snake Oil.
Which to some degree can be interpreted as Mazlow was right: If you don't get rich, you have to foot the bill, and you don't actually have the money to do that. So you beg. And because you begged, you don't get to be rich, because its somebody else's property.
