I want to study physics and I am currently taking a gap year because I have to take exams on certain subjects to be able to qualify for the studies. But i feel like i am becoming a fucking neet, and i am not actually doing the subjects (math and physics). How do I stop being a procrastinating bitch and actually do my subjects? Like I love the subjects but I am incredibly retarded so they are hard. Also I get this overwhelming fear when I can't do/understand something. But I want to overcome this and become a physicist. > How can I overcome the fear of not understanding math and physics?

>>16808259Depends whether you can actually understand them. Some people can, some people can't, you won't know for sure until you try.
>>16808259You overcome the fear of not understanding by going ahead and failing to understand. Deep down you still secretly think of yourself as "smart" or even "gifted", that's why you're afraid. You have to accept that you chose to do something genuinely hard and so, statistically speaking, you're almost guaranteed to be the retarded kid in your new classes. You're the one who doesn't understand. The dumb kid. That's your new role now.Embrace it. Ask the retarded questions, be slow and careful in your reasoning, pay attention to the underlying assumptions everyone else rushes over.
Do some extra philosophy and statistics because god knows your talented colleagues will be too flippant to bother.
>>16808259https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gap_year>A gap year, also known as a sabbatical yearYou get a sabbatical year for half pay every seventh year you teach (or six months for full pay). This sounds like it means something different in zoomer speak?
>>16808259Since you have no responsibility. Surely you can simply turn off the internet? Like keep your phone, laptop, etc. in your parents' room. And then just hit the books. You don't need the internet to study physics and math. Do problems. Like a lot. If you don't understand the example solution, just move on and get back to it later. I know you won't listen to this advice. OP, you make me want to cry, it's a vietnamese basket weaving forum. You've got to grow up, you're not a little kid anymore, you hear me?I feel sorry for your mother.
