Start with the Bourbakis.

>>16808614Bourbaki is for fags. Maths is made by looking at examples and solving problems and only then is it formalised. Flipping this is retarded for 90% of people not called Grothendick
>>16809462>Conflating Grothendieck with BourbakiNice job outing yourself as a pseud.
Jean Dieudonné was part of Bourbacki and wrote his on 10 part series on "Analysis" which is much more impressive and worthwhile. Downside: Its hard to find copies beyond the first book
>>16808614100% right>>16809462Examples and vague shit without definitions is what is actually done in he majority of math teaching setting and it is why most people drop out, not being able to understand accurately anything.>>16809906Grothendieck promoted the usage of Bourbaki set theory (with the infamous global choice operator tau). This appears EXPLICITELY in SGA4 (chapter 1). He also said it in a lecture note about functors at Algiers (the pdf can be found on nlab)
>>16808614i give you my thanks, I've found the bridge to mathematics. truly thank you
