Can I replace my toothpaste with coconut oil or will it make my teeth even more nasty?
>>16811216Coconut oil doesn't contain the substances necessary to remineralize teeth so...
>>16811218lol, that is a good point.
>>16811218would adding baking soda help a little?
>>16811247It's abrasive, you'll fuck your enamel even more. Now before you retards go full RFK jr and say fluoride and pineal calcification, just use a regular fluoridated toothpaste.
>>16811216I chew on a ball of beeswax to keep my teeth clean and waxy fresh. Bzzz.
>>16811331Does flouride really bond to your teeth through contact? That always sounded like bull to me, I wouldn't think toothpaste would have enough time to remineralize teeth through simple use.
>>16811514You're not supposed to rinse your teeth after you brush your teeth, you brush your teeth, then spit out. The toothpaste will sit in your teeth until you next drink or eat
Replace your diet with primal diet. Eat only animal based food, avoid grains at all cost. I only brush my teeth with stick toothbrush once a week. No cavity, no bad smell. You also don't need shampoo. Wash your hair with water, no baking soda no ACV rinse. If you've got hard water then get water softener. Anybody who consumes grains are degenerate faggots.
>>16811528I've heard that, but it really does sounds like a lot of toothpaste going into your salivary glands. The stuff does say not to swallow it, and to call poison control if you do, so surely letting it bypass your digestive system and letting it into your bloodstream is a bad idea I'd think.
>>16811247kek, please dont>>16811533look at how many people brush their teeth and how many have fluoride related problems, should answer that, that being said a alternative does exists: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIWZ5J_h5oE
>>16811216Eat cheese
>>16811533Then just dont drive a car or ever leave your house you fucking moron. Youre more likely to be decapitated by a car or beheaded by a mexican than fluoride toothpaste fucking up your gums or giving your stupid gland cancer. Do you browse /pol/ ? You will love it there.
>>16811596Geez, you're a dick. What, you got a hemorrhoid on your herpes outbreak or something? Fuck you.
>>16811218yeah I'm sure 30 seconds of exposure does a lot of 'remineralizing'. lol.
>>16811218Toothpaste doesn't do that either.>>16811216Brushing your teeth is for cleaning. You can do it with just a gentle brush, toothpick, floss, etc. and water. But it's better if you have something that can help it remove stuff on your teeth but also without damaging them.I think oil/fat might work as it will capture the material, but it won't work very well. You don't really won't something too strong on your teeth though. Some people use baking soda / bicarb but I would think that's a bit strong. Maybe if you only use a little bit.The peppermint essential oil is obviously just for scenting your breath. Peppermint is toxic, as are most plants, as are most essential oils, and if you are healthy you shouldn't have any odour on your breath, so I wouldn't recommend it.
>>16811795Isn't peppermint oil extremely toxic? Thats got to give it some kind of antibacterial function, right?
>>16811797>Thats got to give it some kind of antibacterial functionyeah but also antibiotic in general. not good for a healthy equilibrium of microbes or your cells. there's a time and place for nuking things, and it is very specific.
>>16811331I bet you're going to force feed your wife Tylenol if you ever have kids aren't you?Fucking retard
>>16811331>It's abrasive, you'll fuck your enamel even moreIt's the primary ingredient in most toothpaste
>>16811216No you cannot replace your toothpaste with coconut oil. Unless you want all your teeth to have their mineral layer never repaired.>>16811247That would make it even worse.Look anon baking soda is highly abrasive and for that reason, great at removing plaque, but it also wears down the enamel. Keeping your teeth in good condition is a balancing act of keeping the tooth surfaces clean and yet also giving them a nice enamel finish to protect them. And also keeping your mouth in a certain chemical balance and keeping bacteria reduced, mostly.
>>16811216this board sucks and it's filled with kikes and reddit fags
>>16811795>Brushing your teeth is for cleaningThe exact opposite is true lmfao, the most important part of brushing is the remineralization done by fluoride
>>16811216Yes, you should totally replace toothpaste with random shit from .jpgs
>>16812466Yea bro that's why cleaning teeth as a common practice predates it by thousands of years
>>16812806Cleaning is done to remove things like bits of meat. You don't need a toothbrush or paste for that. People also lost their teeth for inexplicable reasons for them for thousands of years.
>>16811216/sci/ consensus seems to be to use regular fluoride toothpaste cause of its remineralizing properties. or at least find a better alternative than coconut oil
>>16812806Ability to go to a dentist and get your tooth janked out then get a titanium post drilled in and fitted with fake ceramic crown under anesthesia is also predated by that, so shut the fuck up, retard.
>>16811818It's not in crystalline form in toothpaste.
>>16811817I'm going to beat my wife until she's resistant to pain or dies, nobody will be taking antiinflammatories in my house.
>>16811216>>16811247Fucking hell, you are genuinely retarded.
>>16815852I might be
>>16812466no? there is tons of plaque that builds up on teeth, and if you dont clear it often you seriously risk getting a cavity, this is also why you're supposed to floss, to clear the shit out between ur toothsflouride helps but if it were all you needed it would just be in a mouthwash and not toothpaste
>>16811216You can replace toothpaste with nothing at all and it will work just as well.https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1111/jcpe.12615>On average, 49.2% of plaque was removed when brushing was performed with a dentifrice, and 50.3% of plaque was removed when toothbrushing was performed without a dentifrice.
>>16815936It's almost as if toothpaste isn't intended to be remover of plaque.
>>16815936picrel is a fine example of a 100% plaque free teeth btw
