What are the evolutionary factors that explain the great diversity of nose morphology amongst humanity?
Have their been any in depth studies of the topic? What is the conventional wisdom theory? What does Dawkins have to say on the topic?

While you're at it -- What are the evolutionary factors that explain why cute little upturned noses on women are so appealing?
>>
>>16816533
>evolutionary factors that explain the great diversity of nose morphology amongst humanity
More diversity implies the lack of a particular evolutionary pressure. If certain types of noses were advantageous, we'd see mostly those kind and less of other kinds.

Nice man hands too. It looks like a homunculus model of the nervous system. Look it up.

Nuh uh. Nose shapes being localized indicates present but differing selection pressures.

air intake is important the shortest unobstructed path is ideal, but some climates are dusty, or humid, or frozen

Okay you fucking high school drop out let me make it clear for your retarded ape brain:

Colder climates mean that air needs to be warmed before it's brought fully inside, so the nose is narrower where the surface area of the nasal cavity can sufficiently warm the air by the time it does enter the body. Warmer climates do not have such issues and the noses are designed to siphon in more air because temperature is not a consideration.

A theory I heard is big nose makes it easier to breath in the desert

>easier to breath in the desert
haha... fuck ... common sense dictates the OPPOSITE should be true. Constant dirt, dust, sand fucking flying all around ... herp derp... yeah, let's make sure these noses are as LARGE as possible to get all this shit into the lungs more effectively
>>
>>16817991
It's an explanation based on your pseudorational world view and not supported by any data.

How about this counterargument:
- In hot climates air is dry and needs to be moisturised, for that purpose you need narrow nose with big surface area.
- In Italy, South France, Spain weather is never cold however noses are relatively narrow there.

>t. has never been in a desert
the conditions you're imagining rarely take place
