I fucking hate when lecturers muse about a bunch of bullshit

depends on the nature of the bullshit. if it's about their random personal life shit, i dont fucking care. if its some random trivia or medical related story, i like it.

It's more about when this prof is sort of autistically talking to herself and "my mutterings will be on the exam' still applies when they make no sense. It's "telling the wife about my day" tier of muttering. It doesn't seem to bother anyone else as far as I can tell. I'd rather get bullet points written on used toilet paper than listening to aloof speech.

Can a normal person (with ADHD and possibly autism) craft a delusion and believe in it like a schizo can? Hypothetically of course, but can someone believe they are incredibly disciplined, have a maniacal sense of urgency to finish a game they are making and actualize that delusion?

Actual question for the psychiatry/psychology fags in here, is there a term for when a person so desperately wants a specific psych diagnosis and the “perks” that come with it that they start convincing themselves they do in fact have the disorder, and they go from consciously to eventually unconsciously emulating/manifesting the psych symptoms? To the point that their presentation is indistinguishable from the diagnosis they desire (like telling a lie so often you start believing it). Do we just call it a day and treat what we see anyway? I understand this unconscious stuff might fall under conversion disorders but those seem to only ever refer to fake physical neurological symptoms like being unable to walk. Or is this line essentially impossible to draw because there’s no realistic way to know what info/intentions someone is withholding
>>
>>16821572
Somatoform and Münchhausen are treated directly, not the phenotype. Except if you want to, you know, chop off the dick.

I don't play video games anymore. I used to play Starcraft 2 back in the day, though. What do you play?
>>
>>16822209
i recently found a polish fren and play warno, steel division 2, company of heroes 2, and age of empires 2. i was getting up at 430am before work for a few weeks to play, but then his schedule changed and we can only play during my lunch break or on weekends now :(.
i preferred broodwar to sc2 personally, and loved doing 3v5 compstomps on weird maps with my irl friend back in the day.

it took forever to find a friend to play RTS games with that is somewhat equal level to me, and it's a lot of fun, so i try to do it as much as possible. helps that i dont have any other commitments besides work at this point.

I might be familiar with that guy. I don't know if he was Polish (but I know he was European) but I remember a guy on /c/ threads used to make bridges on the map editor in Company of Heroes 2.

One day, humans will realise just how barbaric today's psychiatry is. They will look back on today the same way that today we look back on lobotomies and blood-letting.

The body and mind of each psychiatric patient belongs to them and them alone. Fuck doctors.

I drive a big rig and I hate it should I get a 2 year nursing degree or is nursing even worse.

Working in a nursing home sounds chill and I could listen to all the war vets tell me crazy stories.

Nursing homes are typically considered one of the worst settings to work in as a nurse. You're likely going to be asked to do tasks for way more patients than is safe or sustainable while still having to chart all of your care. This is on top of all the other baggage in nursing homes. There are quite a few comfy jobs in nursing, but bear in mind that it is fundamentally a 'customer service' job compared to trucking.

I know a pathway for you that would make $200k a year in nursing.

Do you have a bachelor's degree? If not, you can go to Western Governors University (it's the only online university that ISN'T for-profit because it's a state public university) and get a bachelor's degree in 6 months using life experience. Get the bachelor's degree in whatever subject you can apply the most life experience credit hours towards. By the time you graduate you should only owe like $2-4k at the very most.

Next take a 1 year/18 month direct-entry online DNP program. As long as you have a bachelor's degree you are eligible. I know a woman who has a bachelor's degree in theology who is an NP through this because they take any major. The acceptance rate is 100% and the coursework is easy. You would think it shouldn't be, but DNP programs exist to make money for the school. They will let anyone in, regardless of if you have ever spent any amount of time in a clinical setting as anything but a patient. Once you graduate from the DNP program you will have an academic doctorate and you will be eligible to practice in any state as a Nurse Practitioner, salaries starting at $130k. Some states let you practice without doctor supervision, other states make you practice under it. Personally I would rather you work under a doctor because you will have had zero hands-on experience. Depending on where you work you can easily clear $200k a year. It sounds stupid but the system is so fucking broken this is all you have to do. The only thing to worry about is that nurses may not like you because you entered the profession being paid more than them despite having no experience but believe me that hasn't stopped anyone in your shoes before.

In some states you are allowed to do surgery and prescribe medication with these credentials. I didn't say that was a good thing for the patients.

You're so salty about gatekeeping your imaginary title, if you want to be a doctor so bad why don't you become a 'real' one and get a PhD? And don't make that fake 'I just care about the patients!' argument.

If you've been in a car crash, would you rather be seen by a pimple-faced incompetent emergency medicine resident fresh out of medical school that hasn't slept in 48 hours or the ER's wisened Doctor of Nursing Practice with 30+ years of experience in a Level III trauma center?

You tell me who you'd trust with your life more.

Yeah, that's what I thought.

To keep wages down they filled the industry with jeets, I would say over half the industry at this point is jeets or illegals who overstayed their visas, so you’re lucky to make more than $20/hr working 70 hour weeks. You guys saying don’t do it have no idea how easy you have it. I would kill to make $30/hour working with a bunch of white women
