Is it possible to treat Autism at a cognitive/neurological level, rather than relying on therapy? Are there any treatments today (even if just supplements or peptides or something) with data behind them? Is it possible it will be cured in the future?
>>16827337Autism is a catch all of like almost 40 different conditions. And every one of them means you are retarded. And most of them are preventable if your dad just beat your ass once in a while.
Asperger's seems to be just putting a lot more effort into thinking than a normie thus being anxious, overstimulated, and missing social cues. It's just choosing to obsess over your own inner verbal narrative ... rather than just flowing with unconscious feelings. So that verbal narrative "I have to understand... Why is X Y? How do we know E F G? *starts listing facts*" is so hypervalued and prioritized over the bodily, social, sensory and intuitiveIt's definitely a choice, like how being a gymrat is a choice
>>16827337There are tons of theories as to what causes autism but nothing all that solid. And even if the root causes are known, that doesn't mean that people with it can be treated for it and might not even mean that the root causes can be fully addressed. As for now, identifying those with neurological conditions and then working with them and those around them to find ways of coping that work is the best path. It's not a simple pill to pop, so you might find the answer unsatisfactory, but that is the state of things now. Also some of the common conditions that often combine with autism, such as ADHD, do have some treatments that can lessen the impact.>>16827347I get why they did the whole spectrum thing but that's done more harm than good. As for your violent ignorance, the world would be a better place if your father had finished the job when beating you.
>>16827337>Is it possible to treat Autism at a cognitive/neurological level, rather than relying on therapy? There is no interest in actually treating autism because it has degenerated into a commodity that now feeds a billion-dollar industry of questionable therapeutic schemes, care centers, special needs schoolings and interventions.
>>16827361>It's definitely a choiceWhat a profoundly retarded statementYou can't "chose" your neurotype
>>16828441There is no such thing as a "neurotype".

Sadly the high doses they used seem to be pretty fucking expensive.
>>16828629Problems with such research is that they never actually prove what they claim.https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5545641/The study doesn't actually say that Luteolin uniformally improved "outcomes". Needless to say, the paper doesn't specify what is meant with improved outcomes or that these could be collateral. https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/nutrition/articles/10.3389/fnut.2025.1583119/full>Luteolin effectively alleviated oxidative stress, restored antioxidant defenses, and enhanced liver, kidney, and intestinal barrier functions in a PPA-induced ASD model. These findings underscored its therapeutic potential as a natural intervention for ASD-related systemic dysfunctions. It's an ASD mouse model, which are pretty much the poorest approximation you want because mouse behavior is pheromonically mitigated and not based on shared attention which effectively means that all those mouse models posit some hormonal deficit issue. Makes sense though because pharma can more easily push questionable treatment that way.https://www.mdpi.com/2077-0383/12/10/3520>This systematic review summarizes the potential benefits of flavonoids on molecular and behavioral aspects of ASD. However, despite a variety of preclinical investigations that have been conducted, supporting, at least in part, the putative beneficial effects of flavonoids against ASD, blinded randomized clinical trials are needed. 1. It's an Italian paper which are often of extremely poor quality2. The selected literature, unfortunately, is clearly biased.3. No actual proof is shown.
