When I say math I don't mean all of math, for instance I know that the mathematical objects and laws such as the Pythagorean theorem are fundamental aspects of reality. What I mean here is the act of proving statements, this seems to me like a mere game of words invented by humans to try to justify such mathematical laws as true, but in reality they don’t need such justification at all, an engineer or a physicist can use those laws in their works without any need to prove that they're true. In any case, logic itself is just a human construct, a manipulation of language, therefore this aspect of mathematics of proving things is just another human construct. Mathematics doesn't need that, it just needs to find new fundamental laws of the abstract aspects of our reality.
Many things have been tried. Praying to God, alchemy, astrology, shamanism, psychedelics. Only math works. It's a human construct, but it's more fair to say that it's a method that was discovered by humans. The true magic of this world.
>>16828916What so you mean "math works"? The math used in physics doesn’t need any of the proofing and abstraction required in pure mathematics, it's just a tool that can be used regardless of whether a statement/theorem has been mathematically proven or not. Biology and Chemistry, which also describe life, barely even have any math in them. The truth of the matter is that pure mathematics itself is rather useless, you could even say it's a form of mental masturbation.
>>16828911>proving that conclusions actually follow from premises is unnecessary because logic is just a human construct and heckin' engineers can just do everything by trial and error
>>16828911>does mathematics need proof>why proofreality does not need proof, it just is.the issue is perception,at a higher level of mind, truth comes to you with certainty without needing proof, but "in the pit" of a limited psychology, you need proof to help yourself see the truth, and confirm that it is true>game of wordsyou can use words for manipulation or truth... there is value in both. but for abstract science you wanna focus on truth. language CAN be meaningful, it doesnt have to be a game.but life is a game anyway, even if you take truth seriously.>logic human constructnope. logic is half of metaphysics, the dualistic part. the lower part of mind is logical, calculating, AI likethe higher part is intuitive
