Almost like abrahamic religions are all dogshit and shouldn't be taken seriously
>>
>>16830658
Abrahamism is bad but christianity at least has the ascendant jesus figure, if we could extract out jesus and dump the rest it could be salvagable.
Frankly christian new testament philosophy is radically opposed to a lot of the old testament philosophy, it's like someone fused two incompatible systems of thought together.

Try low church Christianity, it's the closest thing to that

Look at hinduism. Krishna is kinda like Jesus. You could theoretically worship even Jesus within hinduism

scientists are extremely greedy and dishonest people, nearly all of them have some sort of angle their pushing, they fake their data to get the results they want, they're just propagandists in lab coats, thats why most normal people hate them

we've known that nitrate salt is a carcinogen for a long time, it's a pretty strong one too. Think chubby has a vid talking about a case where someone was poisoned with it.
It's supposed to be safe at the amounts in bacon... who knows
But you should honestly get unsalted anyways because using regular salt to brine them yourself tastes better

How do you /diy/ your own bacon?
>>
>>16830906
well, bacon is smoked so you'll end up with nitrates no matter what, but a lesser amount
shit like pork leg and such on the other hand is way better

no, you have unsmoked or green bacon

No, scientists do not lie about everything all the time. That's a vast overgeneralization that doesn't hold up. Science as a field relies on evidence, experimentation, peer review, and reproducibility to build knowledge, and the vast majority of scientists are committed to honesty and integrity because their work depends on it—falsifying data or results can ruin careers and reputations. That said, like in any human endeavor, there are rare instances of scientific misconduct, such as data fabrication, plagiarism, or cherry-picking results (e.g., the infamous case of Andrew Wakefield's fraudulent MMR vaccine-autism link in the 1990s, which was debunked and led to his medical license being revoked). These are exceptions, not the rule, and systems like retractions, independent verification, and ethical oversight exist to catch and correct them.If you're referring to a specific field, scientist, or controversy (like climate change debates or COVID-19 research), feel free to provide more details for a deeper dive!

>if we could extract out jesus
I'm not a fan of the idea. Jesus worship is just idolatry and I idolatry is for the low IQ. The ancient values of the Greeks and Romans needs to come back. Strength and intellect should go hand-in-hand. Veneration of the meek and poor needs to be dumped, its indicative of a slave religion.

Have you read up on Nietzsche's view on abrahamic religions? His theory is that bronze age warrior religions value strength in an unambiguous "might makes right" approach which you can find in the older parts of the Bible and Torah. Then the Jews were enslaved for millenia which doesn't feel very good when you believe might makes right. So they reversed their values to now believe being a victim is a virtue. Christianism takes this idea and takes it up to 11 by worshipping the most pathetic victim ever in their view, and Islam is a return of sorts to the old Bronze age view.
