Give it to me straight, when will Spartans exist, scientifically speaking?
>>16832000Most likely never. We have really strong ethical qualms about doing genetic experimentation on humans and even monkeys, and the sentiment generally seems to be trending more towards anti gene tampering as people who want to edit genes become synonymous with crazy eugenicists. Spartans or genetically and robotically enhanced supersoldiers are not impossible technologically speaking, but would require a hard c change in our morality.Marines wearing exoskeletons to improve strength and mobility is probably coming in the next two decades, there are already a few commercial powered exoskeleton products for warehouse workers and it will probably be a quiet growing market. The energy shields are pure sci-fi and will very likely never be a thing.

>>16832779Yeah the marines always get the best and latest tech first. Stfu because you have no idea what you're talking about
Exoskeletons already exist. The problem is power density. We dont have batteries that can keep them running for more than a few hours.
>>16833307Funnily enough, this was an issue in the earlier development of Mjolnir armors in Halo lore.Hell, some of them had an extension cable.
>>16832000Wimps... now a Space Marine...THERE is a warrior
>>16833479They used mini nuclear reactors in halo but theres likely no possibility irl to have a reactor that small with that kind of power output.
