African invention
>>16832182melting plastic and pouring it into a rectangle hole isn't engineering
>>16832191you wouldn't know, you've never completed a successful engineering project. your envious response to others having success proves that
>>16832201>you wouldn't know, you've never completed a successful engineering projectI did engineering at college. made a couple of retarded shapes using lathes and milling machines for the final exam so you're wrong.and you don't need to be an engineer to know that melting plastic isn't engineering. I've melted plastic with a lighter before to make a bong. so according to you im a successful engineer. you never successfully completed an engineering project like I have so get off my balls
>>16832205marijuana users are all emotional basket cases and schizos, that explains why you're so angry and upset by this thread
>>16832208that's a very envious response. what's wrong? jelous because I'm a successful engineer and you aren't?
>>16832191It definitely is if you mix some sand in.
>>16832182i would add holes into the brick at an angle, so the brick has better insulation properties, is not as heavy and the holes dont meet each other no matter how you tile them together.also i would make the surface rough, so its easier to glue them together with cement or glue or whatever they invented there.
>>16832245indeed. infant children making shapes with silly putty are all highly successful engineers
>>16832328Not successfully, they are just hobbyists until they are doing it for profit as licensed professionals at an industrial scale like OP.
>>16832182>Plastic bricks>No way to connect them togetherSo... She's made a worse version of Lego? A bigger, worse version of Lego.
>>16832346my sister uploads videos of her 2 year old daughter making legos and gets paid ad revenue which makes my niece a highly successful engineer. more so than those fellas who work in blue collar e engineering. those engineers aren't successfull engineers like my 2 year old niece is. they ain't got shit on her even though she never studied or can even read. engineering diagrams are for losers. unless you count the lego instructions as engineering diagrams. which you obviously do
Plastic waste like that is often used to make playgrounds and other kinds of softy pavers. The production requires some engineering and management skills, in setting the production line.I dont like this habit of mocking normal people for doing normal things, they are not claiming this is some great feat of technology.
>>16832348That's the weirdest part - like at that point why wouldn't you just go full-lego and make a system for interconnecting them without mortar?
>>16832348Cement doesn't work on plastic?
>>16832470pavers are just laid on the ground
>>16832440The journalist causes the mocking by focusing on the product instead of the human or machine process. She must have made many decisions and solved many problems. She must have plans for the future. What kind of emissions are there? We have a plastic pallet recycler nearby but other industry may be responsible for our local air quality.
They’re using their plastic for something How is that a bad thing
>>16832346>at an industrial scalearticle says they've done 20 tons since 2017, so about 5000lbs annually or 14 pounds daily. these are artisanal plastic bricks
>>16832182plastic bricks are strong but are they as strong as plastic bricks with sticks in them or maybe fibers
>>16832182yes what we learn from this certainly is that plastic is a strong material and will not degrade at the rate of bricks made if that red cement or grey cement concrete
>>16832182maybe she could have made them more like lego or given them some action to bind the binder to
>>16832182Plastic homes are gonna be pretty warm.
>>16832545no
>>16832545Cement doesnt work on brick or on cured cement. In a brick wall you should use something softer like quicklime to fit in the brick texture, best if its not smooth.Cement should only be used to make reinforced concrete, and it will just stick to ribbed rebar. Its not a glue.
>>16832205>I did engineering at collegeif you really majored in engineering, you'd know to say you "studied" engineering. illiterate lying merican
>>16832809Anon, high part of the cost of lego pieces are due to the precision requirements.
>>16832182pretty cool
>>16832440Why is the news covering "normal people for doing normal things"?
>>16832182>>16832201I'm trying to imagine what it's like being so clueless, so totally fucking technically inept and useless, that you actually think making plastic sand bricks is a new idea. Here is a paper from thirty years ago of White men already doing this, the idea being old to us even then:https://www.proquest.com/openview/f1a0e1b1649c0509a3a556ead042f06d/1?pq-origsite=gscholar&cbl=18750&diss=y
>>16833048>wypipo invented plastic bricks>WE WUZ BRICKANGZ AN SHEEIIIITTTT>WE WUZ ANCIENT ENGINEERS
>African boy invents bricks
>>16832620/pol/ spies seethe about a black woman invention, that's all.
>>16833045The news should cover things that are out the ordinary, according to local standards. There will always be international news to cover, such as some war or election, and local news will be more mundane yet relevant. This news is fit for a local african publication.
>>16832182the funniest part will be when they are used exclusively for throwing
>>16833117>inventionYou exhibit the typical elitist "racism of ultra-low standards" for brown people.A black woman ties her shoes and you pretend we are all supposed to be impressed and start clapping our hands.
>>16833048You don't have to defend it you idiot anyone above a room temperature iq knows it's a sham. Unfortunately journalists in modern times aren't the brightest.
>>16832184Making 20 tons of bricks in the space of 8 years is literally nothing. I've probably dropped 20 tons of shit down the toilet in that time.
>>16833241You are imagining a scenario where this woman is being praised just for you to sneer at her and her imaginary admirers.
>>16832182impressive. another few years and maybe they will make a wheel.
>>16832182>African inventionThe DIY Shop over here can not only do bricks for nearly a decade this way. The also do posts, pillars bars and plates. Free course each Saturday.
>>16834265
Ah yes, plastic bricks. Now i can finally live in a Barbie house like the one my sister owned which she set on fire because she wanted to see those Dolls dying because she said they are talking to her at night when she tries to sleep
