Why is it that only mathfags are ever pseuds? It's always mathfags. I never see some mechanical engineer trying to show off or one-up other people in a discussion. What is it about math specifically that attracts these kinds of people?

Let pseud be someone who shows off abilities he doesn't really possess.
Let mathfag be someone who is a mathematician or proficient in mathematics.
If a mathfag was a pseud, he, proficient in mathematics, would be acting as if he was proficient without being proficient. An obvious contradiction.
It follows that a mathfag cannot be a pseud, at least not in mathematics
