How the fuq do you not pass A&P? It's just fucking memorization. You should've known all that before you even got there, no really. It's like knowing the basic parts of a car before you go to tech school.

This does NOT bode well for your future academic endeavors. TRY HARDER!

Maybe in your Caribbean school for retards who want to wear a white coat. For the rest of the world is still hard to memorize AND LEARN a huge amount of information, especially considering that anatomy is still taught like ass.
Then again, you pajeets are only good for rote learning like the low IQ automatons you are.

Wannabe nurses take it at Community College in the US, ffs. I'm not kidding, you should have most of those terms memorized already, simply out of interest. Again, the mechanic analogy holds true.

I mean it, Anon. If you're really going to do this, you need to WANT to do it, not dread it. You're going to be using these terms every minute of everyday for the rest of your career, just like every other Med Fag for the past 2500 years. Embrace it. Respect it. Know it.

Nothing will make you look dumber, faster than flubbing the naming, pronunciation and spelling of anatomy. Doing so is the perfect "teachable moment"(i.e. humiliation ritual) your attendings and professors will love to make you endure, as well. Imagine getting corrected in the middle of Rounds in front of you Boss, Colleagues, the Patient and Jesus Christ Himself.......not a good look, really ;)
>>
>>16841088
Then it did its job. That's not a bad thing, but you have to genuinely enjoy learning and using tens of thousands of new terms and structures within the first 1-2 years, and it only grows from there. If you're not already learning those things on your own, just because you find it "fun" and "interesting", then it's best to get out now.

No worries, there are a zillion other things you can do that make way more money and are way less hassle than medicine.
>>
>>16841088
If it makes you feel better, I took O. Chem II over a 6 week Summer course and we started with about 300 kids, and ended with less than 30, so you're hardly alone.

They call them "weed out classes" for a reason. I'd say a good 70% of the "point" of them is to try to break you with the sheer volume of work required to keep up.

It's not "hard", per se, but it's "like drinking from a fire hydrant" for a decade. You have to be able to handle large amounts of detailed info, not be a "genius" that reinvents the wheel every week.

On the contrary, you want to do the same procedure the EXACT same way EVERY SINGLE time until you cannot get it wrong, even when they wake you up at 3am, after having already worked for the previous 48 hrs. straight, which will also happen.

Eventually, it become automatic and you can just use Medspeak like a robot in your sleep, but only if you use it all day everyday.

Embrace the Suck!

The cool part is that once you know the basic lingo, you can understand 80% of every case you hear about. It's actually really cool and you see how and why things are called what they are.

Well worth the investment of time and effort. Plus, it makes you at least look smart and chicks dig it too.

Took a total of 3 days off from studying. I'm feeling better now and I'm going to get back into the grind tomorrow.

My medical school strategy is literally going all out at the beginning of the block, scoring high on the first exam and then easing off the accelerator for the rest of the block. It's kinda fucked lol.

Voluntary medicine, using safe and effective treatments, is ethical.

Involuntary medicine is unethical (although perhaps could be permitted only if the patient is on the verge of death or permanent disability).

Pic related. Psychiatric staff should not restrain patients and forcibly inject them, but like I said, perhaps it could be permitted if the patient will imminently die or be permanently disabled if they are not injected.

My poop is best described as "carbonated loam". Let's say that yesterday I ate two toasted jalapeno bagels with scallion and onion cream cheese for breakfast, small extra jalapeno nacho for lunch, and a grilled cheese and spicy tomato-jalajeno soup for dinner. Probably a brownie or other weed snack for dessert. Tomorrow, with my coffee, maybe even before, I will blow a canister of used jalapeno bagel and cream cheese into the bowl where it will break apart and continue to foam until I flush. Fifteen minutes later, we repeat with a fizzling corn-based shell which explodes in mentos fashion, then a rye-bound beanbag of lycopene colored sizzurp and boba.
I am not asking for medical advice, only for a scientific and medical discussion as to what is happening.
What bacteria strains are involved? How do I verify this? What gene sequencing services and cloning techniques can I use?
Can I CRISPR any of these little soda machines to glow-in-the-dark or smell like bacon?

At my school, there are only 3 exams per block (2 summative exams and 1 cumulative). 1 exam (the one I recently took last Monday) is scheduled in the middle of the block. During the last week of the block, the last summative is on a Monday and the cumulative is on Friday.

That said, my strategy is to go all out on the first exam so I'm not scrambling to pass that last week of school. A friend of mine bombed the first exam (the average was a 71) and he's now in a shitty situation where he has to do exceptionally well that last week of school.

At least some of the stuff he shills sort of marginally works, albeit the stuff he sells is pretty overpriced overall. Aside from occasional harmful stuff like red yeast rice, his bigger problem is getting minimal value from his huge medical team that can't research dozens of pills with better evidence that he has no clue about.

Is penis enlargement an active area of research in the medical field? Has there been any progress in that matter? What are the biochemical mechanisms that allow for penile growth during puberty and why it seems so hard to replicate that in male adults?

>pic unrelated
>>
>>16845275
No.
I don't know why people conflate creatine and steroids so much. You might go bald if you have shitty genetics and do a fuck ton of steroids.
>>16845407
>Is penis enlargement an active area of research in the medical field?
Yes. Fuck ton of money in it.
>Has there been any progress in that matter?
Yes. You can't imagine how many men actually go and set on a quest to make their dick bigger. And I mean absolute quests, like cretins travelling to the third world, risking getting their kidney taken out and given to george soros just to make their dick bigger.
>What are the biochemical mechanisms that allow for penile growth during puberty and why it seems so hard to replicate that in male adults?
The human penis during infancy is, to a tissue level, "ready and willing" to grow with it's signal being testosterone. I say ready and willing because it has a bunch of receptors for testosterone, because it's almost like it wants to hear the signal to grow. After puberty is over, there are less receptors.
And also, the penis develops a bunch of structures in between its cells that closes the deal once puberty is over
>>
>>16846126
Thanks for your answer, that's extremely interesting. Do you have any textbook or paper recommendations to dig deeper about the anatomy and the maturation process of the male genitalia (I'm a layman but willing to put in the work)?
>>
>>16846573
You're going to have to dig the specific papers yourself, but considering you're a layman, to understand the playing field you will need to get the basics. The simplest and most time effective way of understanding tissue maturation (of any kind, you will come to find there are repeating protocols) is through molecular biology. I learned using Cooper, but I think that maybe Alberts is better. Once you get a grasp, you could check out the actual tissues by the infinite amount of histology resources. I prefer Netter's atlas of histology. Perhaps embryology might come useful to understand why does the tissue react and grow during the early stages, Moore is the king there.
Take this shit with a grain of salt man, I'm just a student. You perhaps would be better off asking an urologist, the shit I described to you is minuscule in comparison of how huge this whole thing actually is (that's what she said)
