I got tired of mainstream science communicators ages ago. They repeat themselves so often and dumb things down way too much to the point that even the most retarded retards like myself don't care anymore
>Please Mr Michio Kaku, tell me about your 3 alien civilization types for the billionth time
it's boring af
>>
>no aliens haven’t been here
>no time travel is impossible
Yawn
>>
>>16843481
I liked his "wonders of" shows growing up, then I forgot about him. Looked him up just now and his X bio says he's a professor of particle physics at the University of Manchester. Right on. Would be kind of cool to have one of your physics professors be Brian Cox, I imagine.

What was that panel show he was on where the black kween presenter gave a speech about how there are no black science contributions because they were oppressed throughout history and Brian sat there looking like he was trying to keep a poker face while shitting a bowling ball

"Brian Edward Cox (born 3 March 1968) is an English [particle] physicist and musician."
Wait till he finds out, that particles don't even exist.

"Scientists" that discover they're too stupid/lazy (or both) to discover anything of note become science communicators.
>>
Not even the black man can say he had a #1 chart topping hit.
>>
>>16843516
"""particle physics""" at a no-name bri'ish school......so, he's a nobody.

Typical, normie-grade Talking Head who everyone just blindly believes because he has a bri'ish accent. He has made no contributions to the Academy of note, and likely never will.

"Those who can't do, teach."
>>

"...and musician". Even he knows his "profession" is bullshit.

He's great. I think my favorite song of his is Ode to the Mets. Someday is really good too though.

desperately needs a haircut and his lips are weird.
why don't we have any materials science communicators?
>>
When it comes to UFOs Coz says that “extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence”, echoed by Carl Sagan.

The issue I have with this, is that aliens would probably find it very easy to hide extraordinary evidence for extraordinary claims. They could be trickling in little bits of evidence intentionally.

To assume that aliens haven’t been here is also, what is essentially, waging a war on the rest of the universe. “No you can’t come here. No way no how!”. Um okay.
>>
>>16847705
People like deGrasse and Cox are scared of what’s out there so they insist that we are unreachable. Either that or since humans haven’t found aliens yet then surely no aliens have found us yet. “No one is better than humans!”. Sigh.
>>
>>16847705
How about any evidence besides shitty photos or anecdotes about getting probed? Aliens have as much going for them as ghosts or the bigfoot.

Aliens master galactic travel, but stop to fuck with humans?

It's the US government. Maybe the EU too. Pretty retarded that all these "smart" people automatically turn to aliens when the far more plausible answer is that it's terrestrial in origin.

hmm I see a lot of butthurt retards posting here.

Brian Cox is all right. He tries to make complex topics understandable.

Of course, the neckbeards don't like that because of course you'll lose fidelity in a translation like that.

My only gripe with him would be that there is a limited palette of what he is willing to talk about (what he knows), which is fair but also gets dull after the fifth time he is talking about gravity.

Still, he is better than Bill Nye and NDGT in most instances. Although Neil has mellowed much in recent years and is much better to listen to now than 5-10 years before.

>>

>>
>>16844218
>those who cant do teach

if you were actually working you would know that in any work place there are high achievers, people who do okay and people who are so illfitted that they sometimes are regarded as an obstacle to the high achievers.

having said that, I know of course that there are also people in teaching positions who do not understand their subject very well.

lastly, good teaching is valuable to the development of people and society. at the same time, nobody gives a fuck and a piss about your 2 citation papers about some incremental improvement with fudged numbers.
