do med students really study 8 hours per day?
a lot of it is just rote like at a certain point you'll be repeating stuff before you even fully understand it lol you shouldn't rely on rote stuff to actually think, however, you should actually build as huge of a knowledge base as possible and use that for smart stuff
and you can study while doing other stuff just like take ur flash cards all over the place
Why would any (nonretarded) person choose to be a doctor? You spend years memorizing inane bullshit while getting deep into debt, years working as a resident 80+ hrs/week with the hourly wage of a janitor, just to immediately get replaced by some midlevel at the end. Why should I trust a doctor's medical advice when they got duped so easily?

You just have to be able to get through your training first though.

I only study 1-2.5h of anki a day (150-300 cards). The rest is philosophizing with my classmates and listening to lectures, and asking questions in the clinic. Also, talking about my day to people could "count" as studying, but I don't count it. Conventional studying would put me up to 6-8 hours a day though. Fuck conventional studying. I didnt it for 3 years in UG and hated it.T. M1
