>>16854047You can research brain activity in new borns, there's a ton of different numbers. As for consciousness it's hard to tell, because we don't know how consciousness works

>fetusThe only moment one can say consciousness is formed is when the being formulates a thought on their own existence in relation to the world and vice versa.
From ones first memory
>>16854047They test animals self awareness by putting a sticker on the animals head then putting the animal in front of a mirror and seeing if the animal tries to remove the sticker. I believe it's just called the Mirror Test. Could they not put a sticker on the fetuses head then put a mirror up the woman's vagina to perform the same test?

>>16856397>Thinking is verbal Kek.
>>16856398YepVerbs override senses and propel concepts to discover Platonic forms. Illiterate primitives cannot wield awareness of form. They have formless slop thoughts so bad they cannot count or scale or schedule.
>>16856328Not stable over time. What I remember as my "first memory" is more colored by the retellings that the original experience. Not even sure I could define my "first" memory. I get so many fleeting non-verbal moments induced by smells and sounds.

The question has two answers:Is there basic awareness? Immediately in every anatomic receptor and primordial memory of life history. Is there prompt report response that is intelligible to prove understanding? You barely get that from toddlers. People casually treat the fractal that is your brain as both in one suitcase word. >>16856415>>16856416Absolute niggers go back to Africa you lot

Bold of you to assume conciousness develops within the womb.

Depends on the individual. Sometimes they never do even 80 years in.
It's not an on and off switch, there is no proper beggining and end, a baby is not conscious like you are and you are not 100% conscious right now either. We are literally, realistically, unironically, just an universal infinite consciousness that aggregates around a body like water drops latching to grains of salt and then after 80 or so years we dissolve back.
