I've tried my whole life, but never consistently or seriously, with the level of intensity of people who study this, not like that. I studied without interest because of the bad grades I got and the teacher's comments, and that made me avoid them. It's a matter of talent or discipline?

>>16856705In certain cases those level of incompetence surpass the bounds of established mathematics, thus necessitating research and the creation of more mathematics?
>>16856693If you get bored with mathematics you will no improve. The open secret is to find projects you enjoy doing, and if they involve math you will be rewarded, otherwise there is no point in improving (for you internal monke)

>>16856693Protip, learn math, especially higher math, in conjunction with something tangible that it applies to, like physics. Physics and math go together like chocolate and caramel. Both are delicious on their own, but they compliment each and go together other perfectly. Or you could study it in conjunction with something more abstract like game theory, or even something artistic like music theory. Or you can study it in conjunction with something boring like computer science. It's up to you really.
