When would be a good time to start working on generational ships to seed the galaxy with? It's possible to do it with conventional rockets. It just takes long time. But even at slow speeds there are still some hurdles that would cause every generational ship sent out to fail. What are those hurdles that would take us from near 0% chance of success to a 50% or higher probability of success for each ship sent out? What problems need to be resolved first before attempting it?
and send them where exactly?we still haven't found an Earth mass exoplanet, in an Earth like orbit around a sun like star.

>>16856933Probably nearby solar system. The generation ships would need to be self sufficient whether they find a habitable planet or not.
>>16856933To any solar system. People will just live on the ships and use the local materials to build more and conduct repairs. We dont need planets.

>>16856929I don't seed. As soon as I reach an exosolar planet I delete the torrent.
>>16856929>to seed the galaxythe human virus is best contained to one solar system, we dont need to fuck everyone elses shit up
>>16856942If you're going to do that, why not just stay in this solar system? There's not a lack of room for such ships.
>>16856929>When would be a good time to start working on generational ships to seed the galaxy with?Maybe you can take some inspiration from nature. When is it a good time for cancer to metastasize?
Imagine spending half the earth's gdp to build a space ship for 20 retards, just for them to not have kids or to literally kill each other over a roastie.
