if we can grow neurons in a lab and make it believe its a butterfly, how far away are we from growing a full sized brain?how far away are we from hooking up a mega sized brain to AI?
>>16866666ywnba butterfly, even with those digits
>>16866669Me on the other hand, I'm doing the mutual genital slurp with Satan.Looking forward to it.
>>16866669i disagree, with mind uploading technology this is for sure possible
>>16866675>with magical unicorns I get infinite wishesThis is your game idea?Butterflappy II was better.
>>16866666>>16866678>Butterflappy II was better. But, can we map butterfly neural nets? Or any other flying insect? Because we should try to train those to fly drones and see if they just "get it".
>>16866666they already did put a brain in a jar simulation and its ME
>>16866841>its MEIt's a butterfly neural net in a jar running the (YOU) demo.
>>16866666>grow neurons in a lab and make it believe its a butterflyThis literally never happened, but it's unsurprising that Satanic would go along with ludicrous lies.>how far away are we from hooking up a mega sized brain to AI?No one has any idea how to even approach it.
>>16866675>mind uploading technologyDo retards ever take more than a second to think about such things?Your "mind" can't be uploaded it's like saying the game cube was uploaded when it's just being emulated. Nothing happened to the original chip.
>>16866666We can't grow neurons and make them believe they were a butterfly.>how far from growing a full size brain?Far. We can't grow vasculature. It's still very hard to even keep cells alive.
>>16866666>Satan wants to mind link us to the fake AI God
>>16866666>if we can grow neurons in a lab and make it believe its a butterflybro we can't do that
>>16866666jesus you almost rolled septuplets
>>16867540https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32qlv6dKILQ >>16867127>>16866681
>>16867353>Your "mind" can't be uploadedin the future it will be possible, and i'm pretty sure you're not an expert on mind uploading technology
>>16867751What an absolute load of shit.
>>16867751This is analogous to taking a photo of a butterfly and calling it a butterfly.
>>16866666Will it work if we can make neurons out of other materials? Let's say memristors with can be programmed to have weights similarly to biological neurons
>>16867762There are more fundamental problems.1. It's unknown whether simple model neurons can actually model cognition completely, even with more complicated weights.2. It's unknown whether cognition takes place entirely in the neurons, or if other cells are involved, or even electromagnetic fields, or even le quantum in le nanotubes, or something else.3. Even if you model a butterfly nervous system, it's difficult to verify that it's actually "thinking" like a butterfly, because we don't know how to "read its thoughts" from the model. It would be good if the environment could be modeled in great detail and the model organism's behavior observed, but it would be extremely difficult to do that with any detail/accuracy.These supposedly complete models of a worm or butterfly are a lot further from being complete than the articles report. I'm not sure if it's just a science journalism hype thing or otherwise.
>>16867769So assuming we could mimic neurons with some electronic devices there is still the concept of "soul" that we don't fully understand? The artificial bug will behave and think like a real one but it will just be a homunculus
