You are the head of research and development at the world's most successful biotech company. The CEO of this company has recently partnered with the NFL, who would like to find a way to reduce concussions to near zero. You are given an unlimited budget, and whatever live specimens you desire. What kind of product/procedure do you come up with?
>>16868809Only thing I could think of is if you could somehow suspend the brain in a motionless state. It's already floating around in liquid, which is why it crashes into the inside of your skull. Only way to eliminate that is to find a way to keep it still through impact.
A brain like this that is suspended by biologically engineered tendrils would probably work. But the process of attaching them would be complicated and likely physiologically impossible. What parts of the brain could they be attached to? How would the body interpret these new tissues? Would the nervous system attack it?

>>16868930I wonder if that would work
I dunno glue a fly wheel or some shit to their helmet.Concussions are caused by rotational shear.
>>16868809Just develop a safe and effective mRNA vaccine against concussions.
Oldfag here
>>16868809magnetic nano particles injected into the brain fluid and magnets in the helmet to keep everything stable.
>>16869165This is the ideal male body. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.
>>16868809You want to spread out the impact in time by gradually decelerating the head. This deceleration needs to take place over a distance (think thickness of the cushions/pads).The worst impacts are helmet to helmet. If you had something like automatic braking system for each helmet to detect position/velocity of other helmets you could activate your safety mechanism prior to collision.Image a helmet that preemptively shifts itself toward the impact (creating a larger cushion gap on the side of the head (between head and helmet) that will receive the impact. You can inflate micro airbags to create gap/cushion before impact.Could also try external airbags if the impact is predicted to be severe.

>>16868809I would make a bullshit product while using Cerebrolysin on players then charge 100x than the original price then call myself insurance or the FDA.
>>16869676This will make gameplay too cumbersome. I'd suggest a simple hydraulic deceleration system with reinforcement for the spine attatched to the chest "armor". This will allow them to run at full speed and smash into each other while reducing brain related damage.https://youtu.be/hWTFG3J1CP8
>>16868809Bigger helmets.
>>16868809A helmet
>>16868809I get rid of the R&D department, strip the assets out of the company, then sell it to BlackRock for a gorillion dollars
>>16868809An off switch for politicians, media whores, and billionaires.
Change rules, bring the whole game underwater. Water - lower speeds - less concussions.
>>16868809remove helmets. it's that easy. go look at the concussion rate in rugby. it's a fraction of that in the NFL.
I'd gather all black individuals and tell them to butt heads against the wall repeatedly
>>16869902Or instead, massive foam helmets so everyone knows the players even start out retarded and just get worse from there.
>>16868809>What kind of product/procedure do you come up with?Headless Supersoldier athletes.
