Given the fact that Asian countries study significantly more than Western countries, and the fact that their PISA scores line up almost perfectly with their supposed national IQ, is it not justified to be skeptical of said national IQ scores?
>>16875044>Given the fact that Asian countries study significantly more than Western countries,Well, do they? Far East Asia, perhaps, but I am not sure that is true for, say, Afghanistan.>and the fact that their PISA scores line up almost perfectly with their supposed national IQ,Isn't that the point?> is it not justified to be skeptical of said national IQ scores? That does not follow from your premise, the logic here is sloppy and the chain is broken. In any case, there is so much prestive here for some countries such as China that one may suspect manipulation. Also, that map seems really dubious with all those local variations.
>>16875134>Well, do they?Yes, it's well established.>East Asia, perhapsOnly East Asia outscores the West in PISA.>Isn't that the point? If they had higher IQs, then given the fact that they study more, we would expect their PISA scores to be even higher than the West. But White Americans outscore most East Asians despite studying LESS.>logic here is sloppy and the chain is broken. How?
>>16875134>>16875217>In any case, there is so much prestive here for some countries such as China that one may suspect manipulation. Many developed states and mkre manipulate results. Pretty much everyone does nowadays or at least add some dubious interference to the testing. A common issue in testing education systems which is PISA's primary purpose.
>>16875044Not really, both Westerners and East Asians descend from the same NON-BasalEurasian population. What makes MENA and Central Asians IQ plummeting is some of that Basal Eurasian genes.
>>16875266Do Central Asians have low IQs?
>>16875266This sounds like you spontaneously conjured that up.
>>16875134>AfghanistanAfghanistan is central Asia you fucking goober.
>>16875273Lower than both East Asians and Westerners. The only difference between C Asians and both W and E Asians is C have higher Basal Eurasian admixture.>>16875285>This sounds like you spontaneously conjured that up.I wishIf you look at the PCA what i said would not make sense, as the Central Asians are in the "center" of the Western Eurasian-East Asian cline, also they have common ancestry if ANE with the populations in the extremes of Eurasia, so it shouldn't make sense their population having lower IQ than thoseexteeme pops, the differencial is thatthat both MENA and C Asians have in common, thusly the Basal Eurasians.[*I do have ME ancestry, i know most of us are dumble as a door, with noticeable exceptions [like me]*]
Tbh Asians do study alot but it depends which type of Asians... Like the main thing we see is from China or India where this statement is possibly conjured from. This is primarily due to most western culture and other stuff were frowned upon and education was indoctrined to be the one and only source for income. It also was a bragging topic for parents and family members
>>16875310I assume it is based on perceptions of asian groups in america.
>>16875309We don't even have a remotely consistent samples for this IQ shit.
>>16875315>We don't even have a remotely consistent samples for this IQ shit. With the data we have, that was the conclusion possible, that there are regional differences linked to ancestrality groups. With more adequate data, that conclusion could be overturned [unlikely] or confirmed even more [the more likely scenario], but i agree that more data is needed.
>>16875305No it isn't.
>>16875305>central AsiaSo what? Or did you believe that Central Asia was, somehow, not part of Asia?
