no judgement here. post the best images you have of our Universe. no Space isnt fake OR gay.
love this one just because its a scale reminder
Venus looks comfy
>>16879363fake and gay.Venus is the same size as the Earth so why does the horizon end after 50 feet?
Its not fake but it certainly is at least a little gay
>>16879400This pic one-shotted so many midwits
Deep field photos are cool. Not going to try to fit them to 4chan image size limitshttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_deep_fields
>>16879286They literally are fake and gay. Most space pictures have artificial colorization, either because of necessity (radio or röntgen emitting objects were captured and would be just invisible without it) or because of sensationalism (look our 30 billion space telescope really is worth that much because it produces le HECKIN awesome space pics)Actual space is not that amazing to look at. Its mostly red dots (red dwarfs) with some dark clouds (cold dust) and occasionally red clouds (ionized hydrogen)
>>16879984uuuuuuhhhhhhhh ok
One of my favorites. The red star in the middle is a very distant quasar. With the original resolution it looks much nicer.https://esawebb.org/images/EIGER1/>>16879984>Actual space is not that amazing to look at.Nope. You've never looked at raw data yourself. Have some fun, go ahead and pick some random data off the HST or JWST archive and make a pretty picture. Even in greyscale without any color the universe is very pretty. https://mast.stsci.edu/portal/Mashup/Clients/Mast/Portal.htmlAlso the colour is not invented. It is false colour because the original filters were not RGB. But the colour is showing you real information about the universe. For example the colour in the image I show here clearly lets you separate the red quasar from the blue stars, because it has a different spectrum.
This is a Herbig–Haro object (HH), which are very young stars, which shoot jets of gas from their poles and have a protoplanetary disk.https://esawebb.org/images/potm2501b/
Nearby galaxy M82, with it's very strong winds.https://esawebb.org/images/potm2506a/
>>16880214shit
>>16879413How so?
>>16880198
>>16879286maybe it's not fake but space is definitely gay broall those shooting stars and black holes and shit come on man
>>16879286Maybe a little gay..
>>16880218The fact you wont even try tells me that you have no idea what you're talking about.
>>16879286>Space isn't gay>Posts the most cock-looking nebula thus discovered
>>16880232Relax baby, I was posting an image from mast.stsci.edu that you linked but it appears to be an empty image and not the cool space pic i found by clicking random search, i am not the tard you were conversing with. at least, not the specific tard you thought i was
My time lapse of 3I/ATLAS.

>>16880217We're all just heckin meat bags filled with farts and Harry Potter references living on a spinning wet rock!!! I fucking love science!
>>16880377>>16880380Awesome work. What kind of rig do you have? And what software do you use for the processing?
>>16880561Telescope: Skywatcher 130PDS (650mm f/5)Mount: NEQ6 ProCamera: Atik 314L+Guide scope: Skywatcher StarTravel 80 (400mm f/5)Guide camera: Orion StarShoot>And what software do you use for the processing?PixInsightI tried 10 minute exposures at first but the comet became too smudged so I settled with 5 minutes. It still moved 7.6 pixels during the 5 minutes but I could live with that. If it was brighter I could've guided on the comet but it was too dim for that.
>>16879286These pictures are literally fabrications though
>>16880229a bit gay
its always nice to see the Seven Sisters up close and personal
>>16880235you cannot defeat the Cock King
>>16880198its a shame that Webbs lenses destroy every image. close up stars look retarded and it destroys the Quasar too
>>16882039you mean subaru
>>16880217The Carl Sagan quote
jupiter from a different angle is always kino
>>16882173in the UK we call it the Seven Sisters. every culture has its own name for it
>>16879290Literally an eye
>>16882059That looks like a hand not a penis
>>16882628Coolest, swirliest planet.
>>16880217They often make a bizarre non-sequitur that just because we're a 'tiny and insignificant pale blue dot' humans are all one and the same and we must open our borders to Somalians and Afghans otherwise we're racist
/sci/ really needs a bigger filesize limit than 4MB
>>16880377cool bro
>>16879298What is the arrow pointing to?
>>16879984The structures in the pics are still there, no? Our eyes represent things one way. The camera represents it another. Who’s to say which version is ‘correct?’
>>16883849A lot of those pics are just radio imaging. For example in >>16879298 the gigantic pink clouds only show in radio imaging, in normal pics Hercules A looks just like any other galaxy.
>>16879984the dumbest crap is when they are trying to tell you some planet a gorillion miles away rains diamonds or other bullshit. The only things more ill conceived are the succhole and the chicken dragon.
>>16883852Diamond is literally just a form of carbon, retard. There's diamond rains in the ice giants of our own solar system as well.
>>16883856No there isn't. You are wrong, as always. Prove your claim or neck.
