Are you smart enough to solve twisting puzzles?I have thought about getting a master skewb (picrelated) and trying to solve it from scratch without knowing about any algorithms. It has almost a billion times more possible combinations than the regular Rubik's cube.
I just play community portal chambers whenever I feel like solving puzzles
>>16883607I can't even solve the normal ones even though there are algorithms for that.
>>16883607>Are you smart enough to solve twisting puzzles?I sure ain't!
>>16883607>Are you smart enough to solve twisting puzzles? Stroking puzzles are more my thing.
>>16883607Yes. I was going to make a joke about a friend coming over and messing up a completed cube. But then the answer is break it apart and piece it back together manually as the fastest solve.

Not sure I'd want to buy one just to test that, but it's pretty cheap and costs less than the time I'd waste writing anything but the most barebones simulator. Are there any of these puzzles that are known to require different ideas to solve than the standard cubes?

>>16883607Someone probably made a Caley graph for it, so yes, since I can just look it up on google, or ask 'ai' for instructions.
>>16883607Yes. Just disassemble the cube and put it back together.
>>16884195>Someone probably made a Caley graph for itThat's just brute force which is a stupid method given the size of the group. Here's your homework if you want a hint.
>>16883607All you need is basic twisty puzzle intuition. If you can modify a single piece of a layer (while doing anything to everything else) then you can solve the puzzle.1) Modify single piece on layer (can usually be done in 3 moves)2) Rotate unmodified piece of layer to modified position3) undo modification sequence 14) undo rotation in the layer from 2this is a commutatorthis gives you a 3-cycle of 3 piecesyou can use the 3-cycle to insert pieces 1 at a time
