>Exact size, position, and distance to perfectly eclipse the sun to a ratio of 1:1>The odds of this happening astronomically for any given planet+moon+star configuration is approximately 0>It JUST HAPPENED to also happen on the one planet in the entire universe with life, at precisely the point in geological time that that life is in existenceYeah ok
It started out a lot bigger than the sun, moves away from Earth at about 3.8 centimetres each year. Just when it balanced, then man could work out the geometry of the monolith the apes couldn't.
>Computers are made of silicon>just happens to be the second most abundant element in Earth’s crust>Fossil fuels were needed for the creation of industrial society>They conveniently just happen to be around during the right time for humans to extract them.hmmm.
>>16885913eh, you know the moon's getting further away, right?
>>16885913Anthropic Principle. It is were any different you wouldn't be here to see it.
>>16885925Yeah, that's exactly my point. It's in JUST THE RIGHT PLACE at JUST THE RIGHT TIME when our species both exists and entered into sentience which we can define as the ability to imagine that which does not exist.>>16885922>>16885933Nope, you failed. There could be near infinite configurations of minerals, all of which would have resulted in drastically different patterns of life, if life even existed in the different scenarios. The Anthropic principle doesn't factor in here: The chances of this one PRECISE configuration that satisfies a binary checkbox existing is infinitesimal compared to the infinite other possibilities where it does not.
>>16885913>>Exact size, position, and distance to perfectly eclipse the sun to a ratio of 1:1False. In fact, that distance varies a lot. See: total vs annular solar eclipse.
>>16885935Life requires king tides. Checkmate.

>>16885913If the moon wasn't just the right size to eclipse the sun, or at the right orbit, you would never wonder how come that is the case. It only seems meaningful because we know about itWhy do we only have 1 moon? Why is our solar system not binary? Not trinary? Why doesn't earth have rings? There are almost infinite cool things happening around the universe, picking one of them that does occur on earth and claiming it's existentially meaningful is rather silly when you ignore all the others that don't occur here
>>16885933what part of a total eclipse is necessary for intelligent life? because otherwise that has nothing to do with this.
>>16885913/x/ tells me it's made by sexy aliens and parked into Earth's orbit.
all these magical coincidences just for me to have a shitty failure life before I blow my brains out

>>1688591340% of eclipses are partial35% of eclipses are annular25% are total, but only 30% of those occur over land.So out of every thousand eclipses only about 75 are total and possible for humans to view.If it was all engineered why not fix the inclination and ellipticity of the Moon’s orbit so that the eclipses are always total?
>>16886567In no way whatsoever, and you cannot and will not elaborate your claim anyway so it may be dismissed.
>>16886576>ok so it's perfect 1e24x more than any other arbitrary configuration of celestial bodies but why isn't it perfect 1e25x more??? chegmadesorry but you'll have to do betterthe odds of this occurring on the same one and only planet that contains sapient life approach the odds of the unlikelihood of the universe existing in the first place
>trillions of variables>omg some of them are unlikely>quick, cut off my sons foreskin
>>16885913>Exact size, position, and distance to perfectly eclipse the sun to a ratio of 1:1>clearly shows in the pic it does not fit 1:1
>>16885913It is a hollow space ship, aliens resides within it. Many stories tell of a time before the moon existed and old african stories tell of the moon suddenly appearing in the sky.
>>16885913tidal forces mean systems like the Earth and Moon evolve with the moon increasing its distance from the Earth over time.eventually any system like the earth and moon will at some point be able to have the apparent size of the moon be equal to that of the star.
>>16887263>it's perfect 1e24x more than any other arbitrary configuration of celestial bodiesWhat is your definition of ‘more perfect’ in regards to eclipses? Triton has one of the lowest eccentricities of any moon of the solar system which means no annular eclipses, but its high orbital inclination constrains eclipses to a narrow season in Neptune’s orbit? Is that more perfect or less perfect than our annular-ridden eclipse schedule? All four of Jupiter’s Galilean moons can produce total eclipses and actually because of the orbital resonances it’s possible to get many combinations of spectacular double or even triple eclipses. Is that more perfect or less perfect than our own? What is your criteria for judging the perfectionality of orbital configurations?Or are you, maybe, talking out of your ass?
>>16886576The orbital was based on a metaphysical relationship with our people beyond, and the moon was a female person that took to orbit from a people grouping to think more about herself. It's an elliptical egg orbit from far beyond.
>>16887368Right out of the ass, then, got it.
>>16887371No, after extensive quantum jumping, I went to places outside of our universe where people had meaning over us. Being here felt like being underwater with people, and I expanded to be a huge person. Aliens ventured in fluorescent-lit ships of different colors and buzzed around me in celebration with the gods, like little glowing sea creatures.
