Yes, basically a pen name to publish what he couldn't under his own. Like Bourbaki.

Then Hardy got bored and "killed" him.

It was forgotten for a long time, but today jeets praise him as an idol, so...

Looks like the type of thing where someone just computed some Fourier series, Laurent series, or some other variant, and just plugged in [math] \pi [/math]. In other words, he was probably just a hack who spammed formulas to deceive people into thinking he was smart. An excellent strategy for harvesting Izzat. But it's unbecoming for a mathematician.
