If that really happened than pretty much any other field would be fucked too.
Still you should learn how to use AI tools.
Not because they are really that useful but because it will make you a lot more attractive on a job resume.

Likely not fucked, but everyone who went into CS aiming to be coders are in for a shock. It'll be more prompt writing, learning how to use AI tools optimally, and reviewing the generated code for mistakes.

Look man, computer science needs intelligence as well. and yes at some point ai may be completely capable of doing that, but if it is, it can probably very soon also do a bunch of other jobs so really, it is a general matter not a computer science matter

the chances of using your degree for employment as a software engineer are near 0 now
you still know enough math for almost any math-heavy job though, so that's a plus. just need to expand your search

It's fine. AI is somewhat useful but it's a meme. However lots of retards are quitting the field now. So give it a few years and it should be fine. Also companies will need to hire back coders since they fired everyone due to the AI meme.
