If you don’t treat nature or science as magical, then you don’t truly love or appreciate nature or science, do you?

>>16919384>Acausal effectsBy this definition, all of reality is magic, which makes the distinction pointless.

my own ignorance feels magical sometimes, especially when it comes to realizing how far away true insight is from just regurgitating preconceived notions.

I like how one loser kept bumping this thread for a month without getting any replies
Science as an art is kind of just the evolved form of magic, a lot of the early scientists also studied alchemy and tried to predict the rapture. These pursuits were themselves evidence based and could be applied practically to some extent much like modern science, they were just clueless compared today.
>>16933062*somewhat evidence basedcertainly wasn't as rigorous or adhered to as today
The history of the universe as described by the modern sciences depicts a profoundly creative universe that has continually expanded its possibilities beyond what was previously possible. The early universe was too hot and dense for even atoms to form, when it expanded and cooled enough it made possible the formation of stars in galaxies. The first generations of stars forged the heavier elements that made the formation of rocky planets like Earth possible, which made life possible. The universe famously has a trend of "increasing complexity" which means "significance of elements to each other." Human history has followed this trend until we've reached a threshold where we will either overcome the forces keeping us divided, or be consumed by them. A trend is not a guarantee, nor does it follow a simple route of linear progress. The universe is a community of co-creators, a massively co-participatory art project. The wills to explore, create, discover and love are an extension of this "Eros of the universe" and the impulse of life. Scientific inquiry is absolutely sacred.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWnA4XLrMWA
