they tend to have slightly deeper voices, but I think it is actually learned and not genetic. even if they don't speak in ebonics they probably learned their accent/cadence/inflection from other black people, so it tends to be passed down culturally. if you've ever known a black person who isn't involved at all with black culture they're often difficult to differentiate from whites or others.

People label it >oh that's just the placebo effect and brush it off, but it's still pretty crazy if you think about it. Something that shouldn't work, sometimes even something that has been proven ineffective, working simply because a person believes that it will. This doesn't even have to be anything supernatural, but at the bare minimum it's proof that our expectations and behavior affects the effects of whatever we're doing.That said, I do think there's more to it than the physical alone.

Have you stood behind one of them as they put their groceries on the belt? It takes them forever.
