Not sure if this is the correct board to post (if it is, forgive me and move to the appropriate board) but I live close to a military base and saw some fairly strange aircraft in formation, probably around five if I were to guess. Pic is the closest I've seen, but instead of the slight kink, the shape was a perfect equilateral triangle except for the bottom, which was zig-zagged and had to be tens of thousands of feet up with me only able to make it out with a scope in the back I had.

Any of this look familiar? I mean, is there any reason or advantage why it would be this shape instead of what we usually see with other aircraft like with the F22 for instance?
