Redpill me about the Andromeda paradoxhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rietdijk%E2%80%93Putnam_argument#Andromeda_paradoxHere the Black science guy is disscussing it with two soyshttps://youtube.com/shorts/rqHBKaZ8R0s?si=assoqcz7Ip4WTPm4So when i'm jogging and looking at the sky and you are chilling and looking at the sky, do we see the same picture?
>>16933826You can also check out the Ladder Paradoxhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ladder_paradoxThere is also the one with the train:https://youtu.be/kGsbBw1I0Rg?si=mqVB_v1GTmliaX30
I'll bump my thread.. ai gives no usefull answers. If the andromeda paradox was real, could we messure it? The pulse of a distant pulsar maybe? Observed by a satelite on a swing by vs earthbound observation. Two people at the same location at the same time should see the the same image right?
>>16933826There is no paradox; both special and general relativity have ruled out the very idea of present (the universe is a 4 dimensional space M and if p belongs to M i.e. p is an "event", the "present", of p =: (x,y,z,t) a.k.a. hypersurface of simultaneity of p, in *a given system of coordinates R*, is the set (p, R) of points q=:(x',y',z',t') such that t' = t, in R. There is NO WAY to define S(p, R) without coordinates nor reference to R and if R differ from R' then S(p,R) differ from S(p, R'); the rest is mostly hype).
