I'm 1 class away from graduating. I have to take my senior E&M class. I took it twice in Undergrad, didn't pass the first time, watched my friend shoot himself the second time and dropped out because of that. Been out of school for 5 years, I've forgotten most of my math. My university just reached out to me and said 'Hey we'll let you finish this remotely over the summer' and I'm very tempted to take them up on it. I'm just afraid. I was too stupid back then, I'm even stupider now. I don't know if I can do it.
Plus, outside of teaching, it's not like a physics degree will help me much in terms of getting a job. Especially now, since every graduate is being scrutinized as a cheater who uses AI to do all their work. I make $72k a year in the car industry, Can a physics degree in this economy open me up any opportunities to make more than that?
Its looking like it will cost ~$3k to finish which isn't a huge burden but it's not something I can shrug off either.
Idk who to go to for help.
>>
Well it's not bad to have a physics degree is it?

>~$3k
and how much had you spent on the rest of the degree?
>>

I didn't pay for shit, I'm very lucky to be a failson with rich parents because they covered what wasn't covered by my scholarships. I think out of pocket costs each year were ~$20k. Its one of the only reason I want to finish it, so my parents didn't waste almost a hundred grand on me for nothing.

I figured these kinds of threads are basically AI-generated slop but now I'm presented with the picture that AI probably wouldn't be able to produce so I'm stuck between bots and idiots asking such questions for completely unknown reasons.
>>
It is kinda comfy to be honest. Not sure why you would fail it twice.

Anyway, following up I will take the bait and respond;
>I'm very tempted to take them up on it. I'm just afraid...
Afraid of what? Not passing which is the logical outcome of not taking the class in the first place?
>My university just reached out to me and said 'Hey we'll let you finish this remotely over the summer'
And they don't even want your cash for that? Colleges in the USA are basically pay-to-graduate.
>it's not like a physics degree will help me much in terms of getting a job.
No, but 1. you can also complete a degree for the sake of doing so, 2. take some level of satisfaction from doing so even if only for humanistic or personality building reasons.
>Can a physics degree in this economy open me up any opportunities to make more than that?
Probably not. Well, it depends on your speciality but in general, a master's degree at the very least is required. Would I recommend you getting one in physics? I can't tell.

Finish the degree, it's something you'll have for the rest of your life. Just do whatever it takes to get past the last class.
Imho you'll never regret it if you do.

You've taken it twice before, 3rd time you should be familiar with the material. Its actually cool stuff, the math may suck but what it represents is fun to think about.
You should try filing a fafsa and seeing if you can get pell, that would cover your 3k.

bots.
I'm inclined to believe that OP is a third-world resident paid whatever version of minimum wage he gets for posting on 4chan.

>senior e&m
nigga, that's a sophomore or junior class

This is obviously fiction.
But anyways, griffiths literally has a complete solution manual on the internet.
Try a problem for 10 mins -> check the solution -> compare with your attempt -> take notes of your retardation.
Rinse and repeat. That’s it.
99% of EM problem if knowing what to integrate and how to integrate them. This comes with experience. You need to do shitton of problems.

Ad hominem - then denial - then rationalization

Pheewww. If that doesn't speak for me being right about some pretty serious problems here.
