Why do some people think iq and psychometry is a pseudoscience even when there are such strong correlations between iq and gait speed? Pic related.

>>16950800I don't think it's the fast walking itself. I'm a really fast walker myself and I only walk that fast because I regularly took walks for 20 years. You kind of optimize how you walk over time and end up becoming a fast walker. I also noticed that I can think more clearly when I take a 40min walk every day for at least 2-3 weeks without skipping a day. That's why I think it's the walking that causes better thinking ability and the walking speed is not as important. The walking speed is just a side effect from taking walks regularly.

Pretty widely accepted in actual science that regular exercises such as walking regularly improves brain health. Walking more regularly is also gonna improve your gait speed. Doesn't seem that far-fetched that they're correlated somewhat.
