Wait so you’re saying if the earth rotated faster around the sun we would all live longer?
>>
>>16951513
no because time always passes at 1 second per second even if that 1 second per second takes longer relative to our second per second.

like even if it takes 10 hours for a second to pass when observed from the outside it would have still been 1 second per second inside
>>
>>16951513
No because we would need to be a lot nearer to the sun and we would go full venus.
Not good.

For a circular orbit of an object significantly smaller than the central object, there's a specific orbital velocity for a specific orbital radius. you can find it with this formula:

v = sqrt(GM/r)
where v is the orbital velocity, G is the gravitational constant, M is the mass of the sun (or the central object) and r is the radius of the orbit.

Hey dingleberry newfag, use the fucking built-in editor.
[math]v=\sqrt{\frac{GM}{r}}[/math]

but at hihger speed we would orbit at a higher distance
>>

>no because time always passes at 1 second per second
lmao wrong, the 20 year old astronaut traveling at close to light speed can come back to earth and find his kids dead by then

TeX is broken as shit. If you'd been here longer than a week you'd notice basically nobody uses it.
