>130 IQ
>Not really well-spoken due to the 'tism
>Talking with people
>Trying to explain the context of a question I'm about to ask
>They interrupt me and answer a question I'm not asking, and already know the answer to
>Trying to be polite so that I can continue on to actually getting the question answered
>They finish answering the non-question
>"Do you understand?" *sits back looking smug*
>Has happened twice today
>Both middle-aged people in business suits at the low end of the totem pole of their respective professions
How do I escape this hell.
/sci/-related because IQ.
>>
Just stop talking to people.
Nothing of value has ever been said by anyone ever.
All that is important and coherent will be written down.
>>
>>16953354
You realize you can interrupt as well right? Interrupting, breif pauses are all part of conversation
>>
>>16953354
Sounds like they weren't really interested in answering your questions to begin with.
>>
>Trying to explain the context of a question I'm about to ask
Have you tried getting to the point?

You aren't as smart as you think you are and you are just wasting someone's time.
If you were 130 IQ you'd be able to figure out how to concisely ask the question, instead of stuttering several minutes of "context".
Fucking retards like you are so annoying.

>odd autistic colleague at work approaches me
>"So assume I am a customer seeking to make a transaction on our system. For the purpose of our question, assume this transaction is $500 and being made on a Wednesday. I remember you mentioning this in a meeting last Tuesday. Now, what system-"
>I really don't have time for this, tell him the name of our transaction system in the hopes it answers his question and ask whether he understands
>he stares at me and walks off
>walk past his desk later and see him open an IQ test
>>
>>16953354
if your fucking iq were 130 you'd be eloquent you larp
>>
>>16953472
True, or at least be able to segue back at any point instead of silently seething as the other guys move on
>>
>>16953859
ACTUALLY that's just a measure of verbal IQ

communication is everything

Stop asking vague questions.
>>
>>16953935
holy shit you are retarded AS FUCK. VIQ and NVIQ correlate highly faggot. you can assume any cognitive profile with just their g and know their VIQ range with good probability of result in a real test like wais or stanford binet with just 1 indicie based on data science techniques
>>
>>16956063
By your own statement, high correlation but not necessary. You can have a high IQ while being ineloquent
>>
>>16956063
A hallmark of autism is having extremely uneven abilities compared to the average person.
>>
>>16953354
Practice speaking confidently. Talk to yourself out loud, or go talk to random streamers and just practice by being a contrarian cunt
>>
>>16953354
IQ is stupid and the only people who care about it are insecure about their own intelligence. How much smarter are you than "dumb" people when they easily do something you have trouble with? There's more to life than being "smart".
>>
>>16956063
>VIQ and NVIQ correlate highly
there is a correlation, but viq is as bullshit as eq.
currently mostly due to measurements, but also, it's different "muscle groups" of the brain.
for instance, if you see someone sprint fast, doesn't mean they can deadlift.
and a strongman champion would most likely be beaten by a skinny teenage girl in a sprint.

however, there is a correlation, not just between different iqs, but also between iq and physical health/abilities.

a low verbal 130 iq can sound as intelligent as highly verbal 80 iq. which is why a lot of "progressive|" companies are giving masked iq tests to their applicants nowadays.

that might work for humans with an IQ of 105 or above, but not most humans. have you ever talked to people and got to the point right away only for them to just say "uh whut?", then you end up having to explain the context and backstory anyways.
pay attention to stand up comedians, they follow a formula.
>"so have you guys heard about this? *gives backstory or context* well anyways *now gives the joke*
and the people laugh. because they get the reference now. if they just said the joke, it would be "what?".
but different people have different communication styles, and some have low attention spans and low intelligence and it wouldn't matter either way. where you could explain something first before giving the info you wanted to share so they understand, but they're just listening thinking "why is he saying this? what does this have to do with anything"
>>
>>16956083
I guess I sound stupid. people always tell me I'm really smart, but when they realize it they seem surprised.
>>
>>16953354
Minor 'tism here, but not enough for this.

>Talk to people. Introduce yourself, provide an opening statement that leads into your question.
>Use good diction, mannerisms, and body language (if you require further advice, either ask, or watch Hornblower).
>Ask question.
>Allow them time to process it and form their own answer.
>If their answer is not to the desired question, or they struggle to form an answer due to misunderstanding your intention or your question, then you explain the context.
>If they still fail to provide the answer to your question, provide further context and clarification, but using different words.
>If you repeat this multiple times, and fail to get an answer, odds are they just don't know it.

>>16956100
There is knowledgeability, there is raw brainpower, and there is practice at using said brainpower.
99.9% of people have the same brainpower. But schooling and culture and learned helplessness dictate how practiced you'll get at applying that brainpower in a couple different ways.
Past that, it's all just 'how many facts do you know on a subject'.
>>
>>16953354
Don't try to explain things to others, don't involve yourself in pointless conversations. Other people may or may not know things, but by giving explanations and advice you will gain nothing in return except waste your time.
>>
>>16953354
People assume that spergs can't communicate well. This is often incorrect. Normies cannot communicate well, and tismos can only communicate well with other tismos.

This has happened to me. It always bothers me when they answer when it is clear they were not paying attention to what I actually said.
I just wait until their gums stop flapping and I say, "that's very interesting," ... and then I repeat the original question. It has the effect of breaking them out of their stupid cycle, which forces them to think and to pay attention. Notice I do not insult nor condescend at all during that.
>>
>>16956746
that's true. its rare but sometimes I'll meet a normie that understand me, and they'll translate me to other normies and they get it. some people know how to handle us
>>
>>16956746
Yes and no because autism isn't a catch-all personality by itself. Lower functioning autists annoy higher functioning ones, to the point that you have the online phenomenon of the closet self-loathing autist.
>>
>>16956955
Lower functioning autists annoy everyone
